EMS Veteran Travis Kusman to Lead Santa Clara Operation
San Jose, CA (March 29, 2011): Rural/Metro Ambulance is proud to announce the appointment of Travis Kusman as Division General Manager of its new Santa Clara County emergency medical service operation.
“Travis brings a great deal of experience and knowledge to the position, and we are very pleased to name him as the leader of our Santa Clara operation,” said Vice President of the Rural/Metro West Zone Philip Forgione.
Kusman began his career in emergency medical services with Rural/Metro in Tucson, Arizona in 1995. He is currently the Operations Manager for American Medical Response’s San Diego Division and brings more than 15 years of experience in emergency medical services to Rural/Metro Santa Clara.
Kusman is very involved in the emergency responder industry and is President of the San Diego County Ambulance Association and Vice Chairman of the County of San Diego Emergency Medical Care committee. He has received numerous accolades over the years for his dedication to patients, communities and the EMS industry.
“Travis will be a tremendous addition to the Rural/Metro Santa Clara team,” said Forgione. “He will be responsible for leading day-to-day emergency medical service operations throughout the county, and we have every confidence he will enhance Rural/Metro’s ability to provide excellent patient care and customer service throughout community.”
Rural/Metro Ambulance was recently selected in a competitive process as the County of Santa Clara’s emergency ambulance provider. The contract will take effect July 1, 2011.
Kusman has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Masters of Public Health from Emory University.
