New EMS Medical Director


The EMS Agency is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Eric Rudnick as the new EMS Medical Director as of November 16, 2009.

Dr. Rudnick has been in Emergency Medicine for the past 19 years. He has a keen interest in EMS, toxicology and pediatric care. He was the Medical Director for the Emergency Department and EMS Director for St. Elizabeth Community Hospital, Red Bluff, from 1995 to 2003. He then transitioned to Nor-Cal EMS, the EMS oversight agency for 9 Northern California counties. He has active fellowship status with both American College of Emergency Medicine and American Academy of Emergency Medicine. He successfully completed the prestigious California Healthcare Foundation Fellowship for Medical Leadership and was active in the medical staff leadership of both Mercy Hospital Redding and St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. Other roles include the presidency of EMDAC (Emergency Medical Directors Association of California) and the founding President of the Medical Reserve Corp of Far Northern California. He lectures statewide on numerous topics in Emergency Medicine ranging from pediatrics to chemical warfare. His most passionate interests are his wife (Deborah A. Sutcliffe, MD) and his two daughters Alaina (age 13) and Melinda (age 11).
